Lisa Zaran

Lisa Zaran is an American poet and essayist. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1969 to Norwegian-American mother Joan Ablett and Norwegian father Leonhard Hoie.
In 2004 her first collection "the sometimes girl" was published by InnerCircle Publishing. This work is currently the focus of a translation course at Haupt- und Realschule Grossheide which is located in Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) in North-Western Germany.
Lisa has gone on to publish four more collections, her most recent book, The Blondes Lay Content, was published in 2006, several pieces from this collection are being translated for publication in Bangladesh.
Her work can be found in hundreds of literary journals, magazines, broadsides and anthologies world wide.
She lives in Arizona.
