- O Lord, white as Jasmine

- Don't despise me
- Would a circling surface vulture

- Sunlight made visible

The poetry of Mahadevi is primarily concerned with expressing her all consuming love for her Chennamallikarjuna, an aspect of Shiva. Her poetry encapsulates the feelings of both the longing of separation, and the ecstasy of reunion. Frequently Mahadevi also alludes to the beauty of her Lord, White as Jasmine.
