Broken Glass

                                     Broken glass

                                          splintered past

                                                from what has been

                                                          before.

                                     Pieces crumbled

                                           solemnly tumbled

                                                 as a waterfall

                                                        upon the

                                                            shore.

                                     Sand into

                                           kernels broken

                                               separates one

                                                      eternal token

                                                            from what was

                                                                 once adored.

                                     Crystallization stifled

                                           over a mere trifle

                                                crashing

                                                     to the floor.
